with family, and enjoy the life they fought to protect.
Decks for Vets is an ongoing initiative through which SpaceStars donates outdoor improvement projects to deserving veterans across Southeast Michigan. Each year, we select veterans whose lives can be transformed by safer, more functional outdoor living spaces.
Whether we’re building a beautiful composite deck, installing a wheelchair-accessible ramp, adding safety railings, or creating an outdoor space for friends and family, every project is completed with the same craftsmanship, pride, and attention to detail that every SpaceStars customer receives.
Through Decks for Vets we’re building a long-term commitment to honoring the men and women who defended the greatest country on Earth. We proudly hire veterans. We proudly support military families. We proudly offer military discounts to those who have served and we’re constantly looking for opportunities to serve those who served us.

Every nomination is personally reviewed. Every story matters.
Vets you may nominate:
Complete the nomination form and tell us about the veteran, their military service, and how an outdoor improvement project could positively impact their life.
Throughout the year, our leadership team reviews nominations and selects recipients based on need, accessibility, safety, impact, and project feasibility.
Once selected, our design team visits the home, develops a custom plan, and schedules construction using the same experienced SpaceStars crews that build every project we complete.
