Most residential decks take 1-3 weeks to complete, depending on size, design complexity, and weather conditions.
Yes! We offer patios, pergolas, sun rooms, under-deck dry spaces and much more.
While initially more expensive, we highly recommend that any surfaces that would need to be painted or sanded be made of composite, PVC or other non-wood materials. This saves money over time, reduced the need for maintenance and ensures that your deck will look amazing for decades.
Most municipalities require permits for decks over a certain height or size. We handle all permitting and inspections as part of our service.
Deck costs vary widely based on size, materials, and features. In fact, there is no “standard deck” as every one of our projects is 100% designed to our customers budget and dreams. As such, there is no fair way for us to set a cost expectation.
We partner with many financing companies to offer flexible payment plans across a wide range of credit profiles. Many of our customers choose these options.
We hope you don’t need to! Other than normal cleanings, composite and PVC decking is intended to last for many years with no painting or sanding needed.
Yes, we regularly work with sloped or uneven terrain and can design a deck that works with your landscape. We can even build multi-level structures that make your deck part of the natural flow of your land.
Absolutely. We can incorporate benches, planters, lighting, and other custom features into your deck design. If you can dream it, we can build it.
Simple repairs and maintenance such as plank repairs, sanding and painting are not our specialty. However, more complex repairs and renovations are right up our alley.
That can depend on several factors. Sometimes existing structures are no longer stable, not originally built to code or would be less expensive to replace from scratch. Other times customer’s needs or designs are so different than what their existing structure can accommodate that there is no other way.
The best time of year to build a deck isn’t really something we think about. We build decks year-round in almost any weather.
Our design team works with every customer to create 100% custom decks to meet every dream. There is no standard deck at SpaceStars.

The Offer
Purchase a new residential deck construction contract with SpaceStars Deck Builders between September 2, 2026 and November 30, 2026 and receive a $250 gift card, redeemable toward an outdoor TV, BBQ, or outdoor entertaining setup of your choice.
Eligibility
- Offer applies to new residential deck contracts only, signed within the offer period and within the SpaceStars Deck Builders service area (Southeast Michigan).
- Limit one gift card per contract, per household.
- Minimum contract value: $7,500
How It Works
- The gift card is not a discount or credit — it is a separate reward issued in connection with a qualifying purchase.
- The gift card is issued upon project completion. This is not a chance-based promotion; no purchase is required to enter and no purchase guarantees eligibility beyond meeting the terms above.
- The gift card will be delivered to the customer within 15 business days of final payment received.
- Gift card distribution via email.
Limitations
- No cash value. Not redeemable for cash, in whole or in part.
- Card brand or issuer may be substituted for a card of equal value at SpaceStars’ discretion.
- If the underlying contract is canceled, terminated, or not completed for any reason prior to project completion, the customer forfeits eligibility for the gift card.
Gift Card Terms
- The gift card is issued by one of: Home Depot, Lowes, or BestBuy, and is subject to that issuer’s own terms and conditions, including any applicable expiration date and fee schedule, consistent with federal gift card regulations (the CARD Act).
- Lost, stolen, or damaged cards after issuance are the responsibility of the cardholder; SpaceStars is not liable for replacement.
General
- Void where prohibited by law.
- SpaceStars Deck Builders reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue this offer at any time prior to a customer signing a qualifying contract. Offer changes will not affect customers who have already signed under the original terms.
- This offer is a purchase-linked reward and is treated as a reduction in purchase price, not as income to the customer. [Confirm final tax-treatment language with the accountant before publishing.]
